Alistair Cowper

Alistair serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for Circumference FS and Circumference Legal (“Circumference”) and has been a Certified AML Specialist (CAMS) since 2003.

In addition, Alistair holds an LL.B in Scots law from Edinburgh University and is a regulated member of The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX).

Alistair brings to Circumference over twenty-three years of full-time regulatory compliance experience. Over the span of his career, he has provided multi-jurisdictional compliance oversight to a diverse set of licensed financial services providers and law firms. Notably he served as Vice President with Goldman Sachs and Co. providing primary compliance coverage to its hedge fund administration business offered to GS prime brokered clients. He also served as the Regional Head of Compliance - RBC Wealth Management International (Caribbean) until its divestiture in 2017, and more recently was the Head of Compliance for two leading law firms in the Cayman Islands.
